Capstone presentations went well. Before presenting I was very nervous but once it was time to start presenting, I gained confidence and presented much better than I expected. If I could do anything differently, I would have printed out my essay just in case the judges wanted to see.

In the video by TEDed he spoke about the human brain and our inability to control some of the information the brain holds. He goes back to the time over 2000 years ago when the size of the earth was discovered. It is pointed out that before, all these facts were found without the need of modern technology. People used their brains to figure things out and didn't need to depend on machinery that costs thousands of dollars, to do the human's task,

I've made 4 tabs on my website. The "About" page will be my hope page, followed by workshop, and kit which is where I will explain each item. The last link is an inspiration tab in which I will display media files to show why I chose my project.

My poster file was deleted from Dropbox by my previous professor but that wasn't the poster I wanted to use. I completely changed the color scheme of my project.

     Post B
To me, the issue in my capstone topic is serious so I will present it in a serious manner. The color for autism speaks is a light blue which truly represent their organization so I've chosen something similar but not enough to be directly involve. When I see my font I think of a fun educational environment. It is difficult to explain but when I see my font its legible yet that perfect amount of tilted to grab people's attention. I'd like to show the facts in a strong way, maybe a flash of light to represent a sudden realization, so I can get my point across and persuade. I feel the need to use specific facts to prove my point since nothing else would suffice, to be honest. I am creating a website that has enough information to understand the topic yet easy to comprehend by children.

My favorite video shown in class was the one based on helping Japan. The first aspect that made me feel something was the music since it made me feel like it was truly serious. One can automatically see the Japanese flag but it is surprising to see it all of a sudden rip apart. To me it symbolizes the fact that something is wrong in Japan and it needs fixing. The very strong way they chose to spread information is motivating and pushes one to help and become informed.

The goal of my Capstone project is to raise awareness about Autism to provide a better understanding in hopes of lowering the chances of person with Autism being bullied. A community, in my humble opinion, should always try to be better as a whole. The best way to be a happy community is to be able to understand and communicate with each other. According to my research many teens with Autism have anxiety, are depressed etc. and most of the time it is because people don't understand their situation which can get in the way of their happiness. As a community one must learn to understand so I'd like to create a kit and workshop to teach children between the age of 6-12 about Autism. The kit will included hands on ways of having the children understand a person with Autism. If for some reason the school does not have time to hold the workshop, they can have the kit in their classrooms. I'd like to become a Rehabilitation Counselor and would like to focus on people with disabilities. In my project I will teach to have the students learn which will lead to, as my focus states, a better more understanding community. This goes in accordance with the Richland triple bottom line.
